“Soaring for Excellence – the whole child: Mind, Body, Soul”

1.)    83% of our students in grades K - 5 will achieve full or exceptional attainment to be able to "Analyze how two or more texts address similar themes or topics in order to build knowledge or to compare the approaches the authors take."  CCSS. ELA. RI. 9

2.)    72% of our students in grades K - 5 will produce mathematical proficient results in the content area of mathematics focusing primarily on solving word problems.  The focus is not so much on the correct answer to the problem, but also an understanding of the processes to obtain that answer.  The mathematics constructed response rubric developed by the State of Louisiana for the LEAP assessment, will be our guide so scoring complete responses.
